Sorry it's been a while - I've been writing and editing my first ebook, which I've just finished and it's called Your Essential Style Guide and contains over 150 tips and secrets to help you look better every day. It also has over 100 pictures to illustrate these points to make them easy to put into practise. It retails for only $14.95 and it's in an easy to read or print PDF format.
If any of these points start ringing alarm bells in your head then it's time to sort through what you have, need and want. Some clothes may still have wear in them, but it might be time to let them go. If they no longer fit you, if they have stains or marks on them that you can't remove, if they're just old-fashioned are making you look older, why not let them go to a charity who can use them.
It's also worthwhile going through your shoes, and storing your summer shoes and bringing out your winter shoes and boots.
Does the thought of going through your own wardrobe scare you too much? Why not get in some professional help - we'll weed through your wardrobe and work out what you need with a Wardrobe Audit.
Next month's article will be on Shopping Tips - so once you've gone through your wardrobe you can make sure what you buy is going to work, not just take up the space that you just created by clearing out your cupboards.
I'm starting a new monthly section - have you ever wanted to ask an image consultant a question but were too shy? Now is your chance - email your question via the contact page and we'll put it into the newsletter.
This month's question is from Melissa :
Q: Winter dressing - skivvy's (turtle necklines) are daggy but warm, especially when you have a cold & need to keep your neck warm. Are there any tricks to make them look good & suit you, especially when you look better with a lower cut neckline?
A: Skivvy's are back in vogue this year, but if you've got a larger bust you need to be careful with high necks. Create the illusion of a lower neckline either by: wearing the skivvy under another top or dress that has a lower and more flattering neckline, or by wearing a necklace that creates a lower v-shape. Make sure the colour of the skivvy is a flattering shade for you as having colour so close to your face you need to make sure it's not washing you out or making you look ill.
